DENTAL POLYCLINIC IN ZAGREB
2012 – Preliminary, main and detailed design
Area: 1.200,00 m2 sqm
The dental polyclinic with orthopaedics and plastic surgery is the project of a private investor aimed at development of dental tourism in Croatia. The polyclinic, covering an area of 1,200.00 square meters, has 20 dental units and specialist orthopaedics and plastic surgery units linked by common waiting areas and accompanying service areas, and a meeting room for staff and associates.
To break the monotony of long communications in the area of the polyclinic, in the existing ortho system we have introduced a system of irregular space bounded by a system of broken partition walls where dental units are solved as separate elements and common areas (waiting rooms and halls with accompanying expansions) are solved as something whole, both in terms of treatment of floors and in terms of the ceilings and lighting.
The great bright height of the space with glass partitions extended almost to the ceiling allowed us to solve separate elements in a system of boxes and to create the impression of “a house within a house”.
